Therapeutic Blood Draw

The cost for a therapeutic blood draw is $120.

There several purposes for a therapeutic blood draw. Sometimes testosterone replacement therapy will elevate your hematocrit level (percentage of red blood cells) above the normal range or it will increase the hemoglobin (oxygen and carbon dioxide carrying capacity) above the normal range. In these cases a therapeutic blood draw usually brings these measures within normal limits. You can also benefit from a therapeutic blood draw if you have too much iron in your blood. A Red Cross blood donation is your first recourse, however, if you exceed the limits Red Cross puts on your hematocrit level, hemoglobin level or iron level, a therapeutic blood draw is another option. Also, Red Cross limits the frequency that you can donate blood. If you need to reduce your blood volume before you qualify for another blood donation, a therapeutic blood draw is a viable choice.

I come to your home or business, draw approximately 500 millileters of blood or a little more than a pint, and discard it responsibly. It usually take between 20-30 minutes. I do not need a doctor’s prescription to provide this service. Please call me if you have any questions.
